Brick House

Brick House occupies a tight urban plot as three volumes side by side. The central brick body carries weight and privacy; the black-glass wings take light and the relationship to the street.

Windows are read as frames cut at different scales into the brick plane. The composition can hold both office and dwelling: service and entry at ground, work and living above.

Landscape keeps the building from becoming a hard object. Street trees, thin planting beds and greenery at the entrance bring the scale of black metal and brick back to the pedestrian.
